About Us

Over the past several years, Aminah Assilmi and the sisters associated with the
International Union of Muslim Women have been trying to set up and
maintain a quality website that would consistently connect Muslim women with
each other.
Because of website problems, hosting and other issues, it has not been easy.
But as Allah encourages us to "patiently persevere," we have reorganized,
regrouped and now revamped this home page.
Insha'Allah, most of these problems have been overcome and we look forward
to years of providing access to information and assistance to Muslim Women
throughout the world.
At this time we have sisters who are writing articles, culling old material and
gathering information that will be included in the various sections of this website.

We will be including a comprehensive history of the IUMW, historical photos and
articles that are relevant to what we are today. Past successes and occasional
failures will also be a part of the record.
We invite you to take part in our endeavor by clicking the "contact us" button
and telling us your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and stories. That is what a
"UNION" does, it joins a group of people together to work for a common goal.
